Sioux Chief Participates In Home Build For Injured Returning Marine

Kansas City, Missouri – October 4, 2016 — This past September, Sioux Chief Manufacturing was proud to be part of a day that changed the life of U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant, Khris DeCapua, and his wife and daughter.

The day was a Key Ceremony at which SSGT DeCapua was handed the keys to his brand new home, courtesy of Operation Coming Home, and Lennar Homes- Carolinas.

Kansas City-based Sioux Chief, partnered with Price Brothers Plumbing, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina to provide rough-in plumbing for the new home.

Sioux Chief donated PEX fittings, water heater connectors, and stub out support brackets, among many other products.

“We’re proud to be a part of giving back to those who protect us,” said Joe P. Ismert, Sioux Chief owner. “We were also pleased to partner with Price Brothers on this important project.”

Sioux Chief, as well as the other sub-contractors and major material suppliers involved, were each given a gold coin and a plaque thanking them for their support.

“Those two items will be displayed at Sioux Chief in a prominent place,” promised Mike Stallings, Director, National Sales. “They represent Sioux Chief’s commitment of giving back to the men and women serving in the military that have made sacrifices for all of us to protect our freedom and values.”

DeCapua, who served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, suffered multiple injuries in a Humvee explosion and other encounters with the opposing forces.

“It was a feeling of pride knowing that we at least played a small part of lifting the burden of housing off his shoulders so he could concentrate his efforts in trying to live a normal life and raise his family,” Stallings said.

Stallings said Sioux Chief will continue to support organizations like Operation Coming Home and Operation Finally Home, and was especially honored to be a part of making a new life possible for SSGT DeCapua and his family.

President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush sent a personal letter to SSGT DeCapua that was read during the ceremony thanking him for his service and sacrifice for his country.
